Singapore Government Delegation Visits HKCRC — Castor Robotics Demonstrates RBTS1 Live

On the afternoon of 26 January 2026, a senior Singapore government delegation led by Minister for National Development Mr Chee Hong Tat — joined by representatives from the Ministry of National Development, the Housing & Development Board, and the Building and Construction Authority — visited the Hong Kong Centre for Construction Robotics (HKCRC). The delegation met with HKCRC Director Professor Li Zexiang and the centre's operations and incubation team, and observed live demonstrations of several frontier projects incubated at HKCRC.
Castor Robotics, as one of the incubated teams, demonstrated the RBTS1 rebar tying robot to the delegation. The robot autonomously identifies and ties rebar nodes on flat grids, with automatic lane-switching and obstacle avoidance, achieving a tying pass rate of 99.6% and delivering 2–3× daily productivity improvement over manual methods.
